Employment
Must Love Dogs!
Interested in joining our pack? If you are a hard-working, responsible, reliable adult with a positive attitude, we would love to hear from you!
Please consider the following before applying:
We Get Dirty!
Working with animals involves walking/exercising dogs year-round, playing with them on the floor/ground, and cleaning up their messes. There will be hair, slobber, and other bodily fluids on or around you at all times. If you have a weak stomach, this may not be the job for you.
We are open 24/7/365
This means that we work weekends and holidays – and these are often our busiest times. As such, we need our pack mates to commit to working these shifts. Joining our pack also means being outdoors in all weather conditions. We are located in Roxborough, so having a reliable car and being comfortable driving in inclement weather is a must to ensure we can rely on you to care for our clients. You will also need to provide potty breaks and supervise outdoor play/exercise/potty time for dogs in our care – and when nature calls, the dogs can’t wait.
We Clean EVERY Shift!
In addition to cleaning up messes as they occur, we have a rigorous cleaning and sterilization procedure that must be followed. This includes cleaning floors and kennels, keeping food dishes and utensils organized and sterile, and picking up waste and other potential hazards that may blow into our outdoor space (it gets windy out here!).
Equal Opportunity
A Dog’s World is an Equal Opportunity Employer (EOE). Qualified applicants are considered for employment without regard to age, race, color, religion, sex, national origin, sexual orientation, disability or veteran status. If you need assistance or an accommodation during the application process because of a disability, it is available upon request. The company is pleased to provide such assistance and no applicant will be penalized as a result of such a request.
